Hi Ronan, Thank you so much for making our special day more memorable! We received many comments on the food from the canapés to the desserts the food couldn’t be faulted. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and all the family that had stayed said it was a lovely venue. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception room looked stunning we couldn’t believe it was the same place when we walked in! We had lots of feedback from guests saying it was the best wedding they had been too! And that wouldn’t have happened had it not been down to your great team. Thank you once again and we have some lovely photos if you wanted any for your website.

I returned to the Three Horseshoes Inn after visiting a couple of years ago - what a change now it is under different management! The venue now has lovely furnishings, excellent food across a broad price range and the service is very good. The place always had potential, I'm glad to see it is now being fulfilled. If like me you hadn't been for a long time it is well worth giving it another go. I suspect you will be very pleased with your decision.

"We decided to go back here to celebrate our 11th Wedding Anniversary. Previously on Easter Sunday, a party of 9 of us went here to celebrate my Mum and Dads Ruby Wedding Anniversary. We were so impressed with the service and quality of the food we decided to come back. I can't fault them on anything. A very high standard in all areas, very friendly and welcoming, quick efficient service and the only way to describe the food is WOW!! We will be coming back again very soon and will be recommending to all our friends and family. Thanks for a great evening."

[VENUE RESPONSE] The salt and pepper issue has been altered since this ladies justifiable comment which we took on board immediately. So we thank her for pointing the issue out. We now put small spoons for customers to use instead of the `hands on` pinch-pot idea."

"We had a lovely meal in the old bar by the fireplace which had a roaring fire. The food was lovely and we both had fish from the specials board and an amazing cheese board which defeated us both! Highly reccommended and can't wait to go back. Thanks to Ronan, Jane and all of the staff for looking after us. "

"The portions were absolutely tiny. The staff were very aloof and the service was very poor. We ordered main courses only: One main course consisted of two large pieces of ravioli (WAY too much garlic, it was all we could taste and very undercooked) while the other consisted of 5 TINY slivers of duck breast in gravy on a bread sauce alongside 4 baby carrots, one baby sweetcorn and two undercooked turnips/parsnips. We had to wait 1 hour for a table, and ate our meal in under 5 minutes (really, it was that small!). A bit of a disparity there.... Overall, a really bad experience - very cold service, very bad food and way overpriced. A real shame, as this pub is in a nice location with a very nice interior. To the owners of this establishment, I would suggest that if you doubled your portion sizes and were a bit more organised, you would have a really nice operation on your hands! "

"De Ja Vue! It seems that bad attitude to customers combined with poor service and small portions comes around, and around, and around. Arrived on a Saturday evening where I was told there was a 20 minute wait for food. Then when I tried to order from the set menu and specials board (which had lots of options missing) it took 45 minutes for two meals to arrive. The stew didn`t have much meat so all I ended up with was a carrot and potato soup with a dumpling. Finally the manner in which my complaint was handled was appalling. Eventually we were asked to leave. [VENUE RESPONSE] We are sorry that this customer feels so strongly about his visit to the Three Horseshoes. We did ask him, on arrival, to wait in the bar as he had not booked rather than be seated straight away in the restaurant because of the wait on food but, at his insistence, seated him immediately in the restaurant. As we change our menu monthly, yes, we were not fully prepared for an unusually busy January evening coupled with our head chef being away. A cliché, however but a fact, and most definitely exposed to say the least. So for that we apologise as we did on the night. We did offer: (A) a replacement meal, which was declined. (B) a full refund for his meal, which was also declined. Quote "that`s not what I want!" After further apologies that only seemed to fuel anger and frustration we backed off in an attempt to diffuse the situation. The customer became very animated, intimidating, loud and abusive in the bar area after offering £10 toward his meal which was refused and as we felt this situation was beyond resolve/recover he was asked to leave in the best interests of our remaining guests. All Staff Just like to say thanks for a superb Xmas meal yesterday. Exceptional value for money, excellent quality food, presentation and a decent service too. What more could you ask for? We will certainly being returning again. Merry Xmas and Best Wishes for the New Year to you all
